Buchholz waiting in the wings...
Boston's prized pitching prospect Clay Buchholz has been tearing it up lately at AAA Pawtucket.
On Monday night, he limited Syracuse to 4 hits while striking out 3 in 5 innings of shutout ball. Buchholz was sent down earlier in the year after struggling a bit when the Red Sox's rotation was pretty deep and they could afford to give the youngster regular work in the minors to work through a few problems.
So far this year he's posted a 1.63 ERA in 38+ innings, with a 38/15 K/BB rate. It seems that he's regained his dominating form from last year.
With Boston's rotation having some injury problems, don't expect Buchholz to remain in the minors much longer!
Of course, for deeper leagues, and AL only leagues, Buchholz was probably never dropped...BUT, if he's available in your redraft, 10-team mixed league, it's time to stash him away.

Boston is Getting This One Wrong!
I knew about his numbers on the farm, however, I was thinking Boston has such a deep pitching staff that they couldn't get Buchholz any innings...I beg to differ!!! They really haven't shown that they have a dominating ace all season...Beckett and Dice K have shown that they have the ability to get blitzed by any team they face! Dice K is wearing down even earlier this season than last, an seriously Boston wake up no one is fooled by Wakefield anymore! Buchholz should be the #3 in Boston and should have been all season!
