Looking for some (free) answers on who's going to win this weekend (Week 12) in NCAA College Football?  Look no further!  I'm seeing green with Duke, South Carolina, Idaho, LSU, and UCLA! But what do I know....I only went 5-0 last week?!

As always, you can post your comments below. Don't forget that YOU, TOO!! can post your very own weekly picks, and other sports blogs, here on RotoJoe.com for free!  Just sign up and post!

Week 12 NCAA College Football Picks:

Duke Blue Devils at Clemson Tigers (-10.5)
Uh-Oh Dabo!  The Tigers are on the move with their poker-analogy loving interim head coach Dabo Sweeny.  The problem is they're moving down the tank!  1-2 since taking over, Dabo has been unable to harness the ability seen by so many pollers in the preseason when they labeled this aweful looking Tiger team a top-ten contender.  Not me!  It's Duke, and they're getting 10.5.  Call me crazy, but it rains Blue in Death Valley this weekend as the Dukies cover...and perhaps add a final nail to the Dabo experiement.
Duke by 3, or at least covers.

South Carolina Gamecocks (+22.5) at Florida
Darth Visor strolls into Florida with his ranked Gamecocks this weekend.  A Gamecock win over Florida would not only shock Florida, the SEC, and wreak havoc in the BCS and National Championship outcome, but it would just totally be awesome for a South Carolina program that's lost all three of its games to nationally ranked teams by 7 points.  Teabow and company will probably not let this game turn into a trap game since Spurrier's on the other sideline, but expect the Gamecock defense to keep them in the game longer than they did last year.  If the Gamecock offense can get something going...watch out!  But we'll just say that the Gamecocks will cover this week, and hope for a miracle.
Gamecocks cover! Florida by 21.

Boise State Broncos (-36.5) at Idaho Vandals
Everything points towards taking Boise State.  It's the 9th rank team in the nation, with BCS aspirations, is taking on a team that's currently 2-8.  The Broncos have won this heated state rivalry the past nine years.  But, the Vandals have only lost by this point spread twice this year, and the Broncos have also only won by 37+ points twice.  I'm not saying that Idaho is going to win the game, although their coach has said such, but coming off of a bye week, I anticipate a blowout by Boise State, just not a 37 point blowout.
Take the points and Idaho, Boise State wins by 28.

Troy Trojans at LSU (-16.5)
Troy enters the game with a nice little 6-3 record.  It's probably going to be a nice season for Troy, ending with a mediocre bowl appearance.  This game is a re-schedule of the contest postponed on Sept 6.  When they were entering that game, LSU, now 19, was ranked 7.  But, I'll take a 3-loss LSU team over a Troy squad any week.  LSU is coming off an emotional loss to #1 Alabama (oh, and other losses were against then 11 Florida and then 9 Georgia), but don't expect a trap game.  Expect LSU to come out and beat the living tar out of the Trojans as they hope to run the table and finish 9-3 in route to a New Years bowl game.
LSU by 21.

UCLA Bruins (-7) at Washington Huskies
Several key questions will be anwered in this PAC 10 contest...ok I can only think of one:  Will Washington go winless?  I'm betting on YES, at least for one more week.  Both teams really suck, and I'd feel a lot more comfortable with this matchup if it was only a 6 point spread, but at least UCLA has beaten teams this year, and that's enough for me.  I'm thinking a Bruin win, and another week of moaning for Huskies fans.
UCLA by 9.

Bloodbath

Submitted by Roto Jones on Tue, 11/18/2008 - 12:14pm.

Ok, so this week didn't go as planned. We ended up 2-3 vs. the spread. That leaves us at 7-3 for the year so far, not bad, as we'd be in Bowl contention heading into the home-stretch. Here's how we ended up:

Duke - 7, Clemson - 31: Loss, damn you, Tigers!
USC - 6, Florida - 56: Gamecocks spot Gators 21 in first 3 minutes, never recover. Florida is that good. Gamecocks not quite that bad.
Boise St - 45, Idaho - 10: Cover! Just barely, but 35 < 36.5!
Tory - 31, LSU - 40: Damn you, Tigers (part 2)! Amazing comeback, but horrible that you needed to.
UCLA - 27, Wash - 7: Win #2!

Not against the spread, we were still a respectible 4-1, with the bold prediction of Duke winning falling short. That puts us at a YTD 8-2.

By the way, sorry about mis-naming this week 11 picks, silly goose, they're week 12! Better picks next week, and a more accurate Title!
