2008 WSOP "November 9" Have Their Seats
The 2008 World Series of Poker (WSOP) has found it's November 9. For those not keeping up with poker these days, the November 9 represent the final table of the 2008 WSOP Main Event. Adding a bit of suspense to the tournament this year, the final table has been postponed until November 9, 2008, where the players will re-assemble to determine who takes home the coveted Main Event Bracelet.
Payouts for the remaining 9 players in this year's WSOP are as follows:
| First Place = | $9.1 million | Sixth Place = | $2.4 million | |
| Second = | $5.8 million | Seventh = | $1.7 million | |
| Third = | $4.5 million | Eight = | $1.2 million | |
| Fourth = | $3.7 million | Ninth = | $900,000 | |
| Fifth = | $3.0 million |
Normally I wouldn't post the names of the players vieing for the championship this early because many people love the drama created by the ESPN broadcast of the WSOP events. But, with the advent of the November 9, it's widely speculated that the final table participants will be receiving large endorsement deals, and will most likely be present in the poker press and other sports medium. After all, that was one of the reasons to postpone the final table until it would normally air on ESPN: to generate buzz and create a bigger story. Sometime's it's hard to get people to watch something play out on television that took place several months ago, and the result of which is widely available on the internet.
So, here are your November 9. Each has a chance to become the next WSOP Main Event Champion, which is by far the pinnacle of any professional or amatuer poker player's career, not to mention the nice $9.1 million dollar payout.
